Course Objectives
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
  1. Evaluate leadership decisions and outcomes from the previous year to identify patterns, behaviors, and systems that supported or hindered practice performance and team engagement.

  2. Clarify goal-setting practices by aligning goals with purpose, values, and desired emotional outcomes rather than relying solely on numerical metrics.

  3. Apply leadership communication frameworks that improve clarity, commitment, consistency, and accountability within dental teams.

  4. Recognize and address common sources of team disengagement or complacency, including unclear expectations, inconsistent standards, and misaligned energy from leadership.

  5. Implement structured approaches to team development, including raises, growth pathways, feedback systems, and performance expectations.

  6. Strengthen operational and people systems by prioritizing internal processes, communication, and leadership effectiveness before increasing external investments such as marketing.

  7. Develop a forward-focused leadership plan that intentionally releases ineffective habits, systems, and mindsets while reinforcing strategies that support sustainable growth into the next year.
