Course Objectives
- Recognize Common Signs of Emotional Burnout
Learners will identify personal and team symptoms of burnout and emotional fatigue, including apathy, irritability, decreased focus, and lack of motivation. - Normalize the Experience of Slumps in Leadership
Learners will understand that seasonal or emotional downturns are a common part of professional life and learn to reframe them as opportunities for reflection and recalibration. - Develop Self-Awareness and Emotional Regulation Practices
Learners will implement simple but effective tools such as breathwork, inventory journaling, and gratitude practices to restore focus, emotional balance, and energy. - Assess the Root Causes of Low Motivation
Learners will evaluate external and internal factors contributing to burnout—including workload, home life, economic stress, and misaligned goals. - Shift from Toxic Positivity to Constructive Neutrality
Learners will adopt neutral, realistic communication strategies to replace reactive, forced optimism, and create space for vulnerability and authentic leadership. - Reevaluate Goals and Redefine Success
Learners will explore whether current goals still align with their values and season of life, and adjust their professional path accordingly. - Create a Culture of Psychological Safety in the Workplace
Learners will cultivate environments where team members feel seen, heard, and supported through intentional conversations, emotional check-ins, and empathy-driven leadership. - Use Strategic Delegation to Regain Control and Bandwidth
Learners will identify low-impact tasks that can be delegated to team members or outsourced to restore time and energy for higher-value activities. - Support Team Members Through Their Own Slumps
Learners will develop scripts and strategies to help team members express emotional distress without shame and discover how to respond with empathy, not overfunctioning. - Utilize Mental Health Resources and Team Support Systems
Learners will learn when and how to connect themselves or others with external resources like therapy or coaching, and how to integrate ongoing emotional wellness into practice culture.
